  • 'Glee' Renewed for Two More Seasons

Glee Seasons 1-3 DVD Box Set(http://www.hotdvdplay.com/glee-seasons-1-3-dvd-box-set-1.html)

Gleek out! Fox has just announced that it has picked up its popular musical series from co-creator Ryan Murphy for two more seasons.

“'Glee' debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture,” said Fox Broadcasting Company's entertainment chairman in a statement.

“Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante Di Loreto and the entire 'Glee' team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show – and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons,” he continued.

While the series has performed well over its four seasons on the network, its viewership has flagged a bit. Thursday's new episode saw a slight 6 percent dip in the ratings, but still earned the top spot of the night in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.

“'Glee' has been a signature series for the studio since its launch four years ago and we couldn’t be happier that Fox has ordered two more seasons,” said Twentieth Century Fox Television chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman jointly. “Ryan, Brad, Ian and Dante have created something that is far larger than a television show; it’s a global entertainment brand which continues to touch millions around the world. From its chart-topping musical numbers to its inventive storytelling and rich, complex characters, 'Glee' rewrote the rules of what network television could be, and we are enormously proud to be the studio behind it.”

“I am very grateful to Kevin, Dana and Gary for their incredible support of this series from the beginning,” Murphy added. “But, I also want to thank our loyal audience, whose passion and enthusiasm continue to amaze and inspire us.”

In March, the series celebrated its 500th performance with "Shout." This season, the series passed another milestone as several of its characters graduated and passed the New Directions torch to several new players.

The series' soundtrack also continues to do well with music lovers. The show has more than 53 million songs downloaded and has sold more than 13 million albums worldwide, going platinum twice and gold five times.

With this season renewal, it remains to be seen what Oxygen will do with its reality competition, "The Glee Project," which gives its winners a recurring role on the Fox series and is produced by Ryan Murphy. Last week, the cable channel announced that a series renewal was pending a "Glee" pickup amid reports of the competition show's cancelation.

"Glee" is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Murphy, Falchuk, Brennan and Di Loreto serve as executive producers.

"Glee" airs Thursdays at 9/8c after Fox's "American Idol."

  • "Slumdog Millionaire", amazing life, best winner!

An orphaned Mumbai slum kid tries to alter his life by winning TV’s ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?' in a feelgood fable from director Danny Boyle and the writer of the Complete Monty, Simon Beaufoy
Jamal Malik (‘Skins’ star Dev Patel) is
becoming beaten by Mumbai police for allegedly cheating on hit Tv show ‘Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?’ A single query away from the ultimate 20 million rupee prize, nobody, including slick show host Prem (Anil Kapoor), believes a chai wallah (teaboy) like Jamal could know all the answers. As the difficult inspector (Irfan Khan) replays Jamal’s look on the show, it is revealed that every single query corresponds to a precise life lesson from Jamal’s tragic previous.

Raised in abject poverty in Mumbai’s grimmest slum
along with older brother Salim, then orphaned by a Hindu mob attack, Jamal and Salim are forced to fend for themselves around the streets through opportunistic petty crime. They pick up a young girl, fellow orphan Latika (Freida Pinto), escape the clutches of a vicious Fagin-like crime boss, drop Latika, and continue their picaresque adventures, a single step ahead with the law. As adolescents, nevertheless, Salim becomes entranced by a life of crime and Latika’s unexpected return sets brother against brother. Will Jamal salvage his girl, his fortune and his life on ‘Millionaire’?

    Adapted by
Full Monty writer Simon Beaufoy from Vikas Swarup’s hit novel ‘Q&A’, Slumdog is an underdog tale. Beaufoy’s lively screenplay scampers after Swarup’s self-consciously Dickensian storytelling tradition, and is even built around the ‘Millionaire’ show, as iconic a symbol of Western capitalist entertainment as exists.

Director Danny Boyle and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle have evidently immersed themselves in India’s sensory overload. The film revels in the sub-continent’s chaotic beauty and raging colours, from Mumbai shantytowns to Agra’s regal Taj Mahal. The thrillingly off-the-cuff digital imagery reflects a nation
inside a state of explosive flux, loo
ming skyscrapers erupting from wasteland, slum kids turning into overnight millionaires
through the kiss of television. The film’s uniquely vibrant, headlong 21st century rush is that on the infinite possibilities of modern India itself.

Slumdog’s such a crowd-pleaser that some critics might brand it Boyle’s best since Trainspotting . It even echoes a couple of that film’s classic set pieces, notably a slum chase reminiscent of Renton and Co’s opening Edinburgh dash and a lavatorial incident so stomach-churning (yet hilarious), it makes Trainspotting’s infamous toilet scene seem like Ewan McGregor took an Evian bath.
In fact, the likable Boyle has been on great form for some time - 28 Days Later revamped the zombie movie, Millions is perhaps the best kids film of recent years. No other current British director makes such thrillingly current (all his films are set in either the present or future), kinetic, inherently visual films and proper recognition is long overdue - though, true to form, he’s insistent here on crediting co-director Loveleen Tandan, whose major contribution seems to have been unearthing the wonderfully naturalistic kids to play Jamal, Salim and Latika.

A spirited underdog fable marinated in modern India’s melting pot. Danny Boyle’s still the master of spices.

  • Emma Watson

Famous for playing the role of Hermione Granger in all seven adaptations of the "Harry Potter" film series, actress Emma Watson was one of those rare actresses who enjoyed a balanced, normal life despite being one of the most recognized and highest-earning stars of the films. Her meteoric rise to fame was nothing short of magical. With virtually no professional acting experience, the nine-year-old Watson was selected to co-star in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (2001) and was propelled into international stardom with her very first film. Her portrayal of the bossy, miss-know-it-all Hermione was pitch perfect, so it was no surprise when she was recast alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in subsequent installments. In her late teens, Watson showed her fans a more stylish, sophisticated side. She became a regular at fashion shows, befriended legendary fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld and often arrived at red carpet events swathed in haute couture. The fashion house Burberry took notice of the budding fashionista and signed Watson to be the new face of the brand in 2009. With a coveted fashion contract under her belt and worldwide acclaim as one of Harry's brainy sidekicks, the multi-dimensional actress successfully made her way into cinematic history.

Born on April 15, 1990 in Paris, France, Watson was raised by her father, Chris, and her mother, Jacqueline, both of whom were attorneys. Living in the City of Lights until she was five, Watson moved with her mother and younger brother, Alex, to Oxfordshire, England after her parents divorced. She first expressed an interest in acting when she was six, which led to studying song, dance, and theatre at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts. She attended The Dragon School, a renowned prep school in England, and moved on to HeadingtonSchool, a private all-girls school. She took the lead role in several school plays, including "Arthur: The Young Years and The Happy Prince" (2000). Meanwhile, auditions for "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," the adaptation of J.K. Rowling's popular fantasy-adventure novel, began the previous year. Casting agents discovered Watson through her Oxford theater teacher and asked the budding thespian to audition for Hermione. After eight callbacks, Watson earned Rowling's approval atop one of the most coveted roles in history.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," which followed the travails of young Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his transition into the world of magic at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, became an instant blockbuster, breaking opening day sales records and was the highest-grossing film that year. Watson, like her co-stars, received critical acclaim for her earnest performance as the Muggle-born, bookish Hermione. Starring again as Hermione in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002), critics singled her out above co-stars Radcliffe and Grint, giving her kudos for an admirable performance. In 2004, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" - which veered into darker territory than its predecessors - hit theaters. Watson was appreciative of her character growing into a more assertive role in the series and expressed her continued excitement for playing the character in numerous interviews. In the next installment, "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (2005), Watson's performance reached new milestones. The young actress reportedly loved all the arguing between the three teen co-stars, which she felt were more true to character. Meanwhile, the Potter phenomenon even caught the eye of British royalty - Watson appeared as Hermione in a Potter spin-off called "The Queen's Handbag" (2006), a special mini-episode celebrating the 80th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

The fifth adaptation of the Potter franchise, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (2007) was another mega-hit, setting an opening weekend gross of almost $333 million worldwide. Watson's star kept shining brighter - in the same year, she and fellow wizards Radcliffe and Grint left imprints of their hands, feet and wands in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. In spite of the financial success of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," all three teen stars expressed hesitation in continuing their roles for the final two adaptations. The media speculated that she played hard-to-get in an attempt to increase her paycheck, rumored to be in the $4 million-a picture-range. Watson quickly explained that she hesitated because signing on for two more films represented another four-year commitment on her part. She eventually signed for the role after conceding that she loved Hermione's character so much that she couldn't bear someone else playing it.

Like many child superstars, Watson grew up on the film set and under the scrutinizing glare of the media spotlight. But unlike many of her contemporaries who became infamous for partying, drinking, and drug use, Watson managed to keep her life balanced and private. She credited strong family ties for keeping her grounded, as well as the support she received from her co-stars Radcliffe and Grint, both of whom she said had grown to be like her siblings. More notably, she shared a love of learning with her on-screen alter ego. She was a serious student, maintaining top grades while filming the Potter series. In the fall of 2009, Watson headed off to study at ColumbiaUniversity in New York City.

As the film series progressed, so did Watson's fashion sense. Watson ditched her tweeds in favor of more glamorous get-ups from high-end designer lines like Chanel, Viviene Westwood and Marc Jacobs. She was photographed wearing Chanel to numerous red-carpet events and movie premieres, which sparked a rumor that she was deemed to be the new face of the famed brand, replacing actress Keira Knightley.Alas, the Chanel deal never materialized. But Watson did become the new spokesperson for British fashion house Burberry. In 2009, she modeled Burberry's signature trench coat and other accessories in the brand's autumn collection. In between photo shoots, filming and college, the young glamour maven design a clothing line for teens that benefited UNICEF.Emma1

Watson took on other roles in lesser known ventures when she wasn't filming Potter. She starred as the voice of Princess Pea in the animated feature "The Tale of Despereaux" (2008), which starred Dustin Hoffman, Sigourney Weaver, and Matthew Broderick. She also appeared in the critically acclaimed television adaptation of the novel "Ballet Shoes" (2007), where she played one of three sisters who struggle to follow their dreams. Watson reprised her role as Hermione in the sixth installment of the series, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" (2009), while filming began on the final adaptation of the beloved series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" that same year.

  • Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Divorce Finalized

At long last, Kim Kardashian has been granted the divorce she's wanted from Kris Humphries.300-Humphries-Kardashian-032712-jpg_234530

The pregnant "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star was in court Friday morning with attorney Laura Wasser and was granted a dissolution of marriage due to "irreconcilable differences." The court must sign off on the judgment by June 19. Humphries was not in court again today.

Team Humphries consented after the judge told the NBA player would never prove fraud and recommended that he just needed to "settle and move on," "omg! Insider" has learned.

"As a result of this agreement, we will not have a trial in this case," Judge Hank M. Goldberg said. "I want to congratulate the attorneys on both sides. This is a sensible way to resolve this case."

The reason the case carried on for well over a year is that Humphries wanted an annulment rather than a divorce, on the grounds that Kardashian committed fraud. He reportedly was seeking $7 million from his now ex-wife.

According to TMZ, Humphries will receive no money and each party will pay their own attorney's fees. The site also reports that although Humphries was potentially going to be fined for no-showing in court last week (because he has been practicing for the NBA playoffs), Kardashian asked the judge to drop that penalty.

Kim and Kris married on August 20, 2011, and separated on October 31, 2011. They were married for 72 days, and the divorce took 535 days to be finalized. In other words, their separation period was more than 7 times the length they were actually married for.

    error of the human body1

Following divorce from his wife and the loss of his son to a rare genetic mutation, Canadian geneticist Geoff Burton relocates to the harsh, wintry scenery of Dresden, Germany to work on groundbreaking new project that might just be his key to redemption. When teamed up with his former intern and colleague Rebekka, he starts working on a human regenerative gene with direct ties to his personal tragedy, yet matters prove increasingly difficult: jealous co-workers' feelings are ruffled, old flames are rekindled and personal demons become consistently harder to suppress in this new and oppressive work environment. Still haunted by the memory of his wife and his failures to have saved his deceased son, Burton finds himself maddeningly close to a medical breakthrough, yet quickly spiralling out of control. Collapsing his career and personal life into a dark and increasingly dangerous tunnel-vision of competitive genetics, delusions of all kinds and the terrifying potential of massive discoveries gone awry, Burton is quite literally the stranger in the strange land. The question remains: how far will Burton be willing to go to atone for the errors of his past?
